Hi. I’m Balto. I’m a 9-year-old Malamute, which means I come equipped with luxurious floof, dramatic vocal abilities, and approximately zero indoor voice. If something happens, you’ll hear about it. Mailman? Opinion. Squirrel? Opinion. Dinner five minutes late? STRONGLY worded opinion. I’ll admit… sometimes my excitement gets the best of me. I jump. I get mouthy. I forget that I’m built like a small bear instead of a lap dog. I’m working on it, okay? Self-improvement is a journey. So, here’s the deal: I’m looking for humans who can help me be the best version of myself. Give me structure, consistency, and training, and I’ll give you unwavering loyalty, endless entertainment, and enough fur to knit another Malamute. Tiny humans? I’d prefer older kids who won’t get accidentally bulldozed when I get excited. Other dogs? Maybe! Let’s have a proper meet-and-greet first. Cats and small critters? Hard pass. I believe they move suspiciously fast, and I feel it’s my civic duty to investigate. Life hasn’t always been easy for me, but I’m ready for my next chapter.
