Charmaine came to us through no fault of her own and is searching for a patient, understanding family to help her continue blossoming. She is an anxious girl who takes time to trust new people, but she has made incredible progress with our staff during her stay at the shelter. Through walks, yard time, and gentle encouragement from volunteers, her confidence continues to grow. One thing we’ve learned is that Charmaine feels much more comfortable when she has a confident, friendly dog by her side. A canine companion could help her adjust more easily to life in a new home. Charmaine is looking for a family that understands she may always be a little nervous in new situations and around unfamiliar people. With patience, consistency, and love, she rewards those she trusts with a sweet, affectionate, and loyal companionship.
