About me
Miss Chateau is as sweet as she is shrouded in mystery. While visiting a friend at a local motel, a citizen noted this scruffy little gray girl loitering in the parking lot. When her car turned on, Chateau began to cry, revealing she had been trying to hitch a ride. Chateau is quite shy in the shelter environment, taking a gentle coaxing to begin to open up. Sit quietly with her and rub her cheeks for a few minutes and she starts to melt, putting her heart (and head) into your hands. She’ll roll around on you, purring, never venturing too far from safety. It seems that in the quiet of night, Chateau comes alive, with her toys found askew in morning light. She seems interested in playing with us but can’t convince herself to take those first steps. We think Chateau will blossom even faster in a calmer environment, so she’s taking her first tentative steps towards finding her happily ever after.
Due to her background, we don’t know how Chateau feels about living with cats, dogs, or kids. She appears to still be under a year old and on the petite side. Based on her shelter behavior, we think Chateau’s ideal home would be lower in activity and noise and patient in letting her adjust at her pace—gentle petting permitted, of course. If you want to be Chateau’s safe harbor, come meet her!
