It’s-a him, Mario! Though he might look furrier than you remember him! This Mario is a specialist in stealing hearts over saving princesses. Originally coming into the shelter with his brother due to financial hardship during the pandemic, Mario was adopted and later found himself back here due to financial hardship in his new home. This middle-aged kitty is a snuggler through and through! Mario will happily greet you with his tail up and receive scratches and pets; he was reportedly a fan of being held as well, though you might struggle to lift him! (Mario is on a low calorie diet now.) In both homes, Mario lived with children aged newborn to late elementary and was great with the kids. He has been with dogs and tolerated them, though he could take them or leave them. Mario was with his brother several years ago but has not been with another cat since. In addition to his laidback cuddle bug vibes, Mario has shown interest in playing—once he loses weight, he’ll be even better at chasing that string!
