🌸 Meet Penny 🌸
Penny is the kind of cat who quietly steals your heart. Shy and sensitive, she’s still learning that the world can be a safe place, but beneath her timid exterior is an incredibly sweet girl who absolutely adores gentle affection. Once you’re sitting beside her, Penny’s purr starts almost instantly. She has the cutest habit of purring while letting out tiny, plaintive little “ow” meows, as if she’s trying to tell you how much she appreciates the company. One of her most endearing quirks is trying to hide her face when she’s feeling bashful, even while happily soaking up pets. Penny took her time settling into her foster home, preferring to observe from the safety of a hiding spot before slowly gaining confidence. She’s still most active during the quiet nighttime hours and enjoys nothing more than relaxing on the couch or curling up in bed beside her favorite person for some peaceful cuddle time. She gets along with people but isn’t one to ask for attention—she’ll happily accept it when you come to her. While she tolerated the resident cat, a busy household and an energetic young dog were simply too much for her, so Penny is looking for a calm, quiet home without young, active dogs and preferably without small children. She is currently taking anxiety medication, and a patient adopter willing to let her blossom at her own pace will be rewarded with an incredibly loving companion.
