Pepper came to us as a stray after being found with another dog. It’s no surprise that the busy shelter environment was overwhelming for her at first, but each day she continues to grow more confident and come out of her shell. Pepper can be a bit talkative when she sees other dogs or when she’s feeling nervous, but we’ve discovered the quickest way to her heart is with a tasty snack. Once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll have a loyal friend for life. Because we don’t know Pepper’s past, she’s looking for a patient and understanding family that will give her the time she needs to adjust. She has shown some anxious tendencies here at the shelter, but we’ve also seen her playful, affectionate personality blossom as she becomes more comfortable. With love, patience, and a little encouragement, we know Pepper will become a wonderful companion for the lucky family that gives her a chance.
