DESCRIPTION:Join us for the York County SPCA Dogs’ Day Out Presented by Explore York – the first Sunday of every month!  More details are available here: Adventure Awaits With Our Dogs’ Day Out | York County SPCA\nHow to Sign Up:\nWe post details about each event on our Facebook page several days before. The events fill up quickly\, so please follow up and/or opt to get alerts when we post! \n\nComplete an application!\nOnce you’ve submitted your application\, our canine team will reach out in a few days to confirm your approval and match you with a dog!\nIF you have a specific dog in mind\, please note that on your application. If that pup is already matched\, we’ll help you pick another deserving dog for your outing. Dogs are available on a first-come\, first-served basis and are subject to change (i.e.\, a dog gets sick\, behavior changes\, etc.).\n\n\nWhat Is Dogs’ Day Out?\nThis program lets community members take one of our adoptable dogs out of the shelter for a day filled with fun and exploration! \nYou can: \n\nTake them for a hike or a park stroll.\nTreat them to a pup cup at a drive-thru.\nVisit a dog-friendly store for a shopping spree.\nCreate your own adventure—the possibilities are endless.\n\nRequirements:\n\nA reliable vehicle where the dog can be safely restrained or crated for transport.\nA valid driver’s license to be copied at the shelter.\nParticipants must arrive at 9:00 a.m. at the Brougher Companion Animal Shelter – York County SPCA\, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail\, York\, PA 17406.\nBasic safety and handling instructions will be provided before you leave.\n\nImportant Details:\n\nParticipants will lap around our facility with their assigned dog to ensure comfort and handling.\nDogs must be returned to the shelter by 4:00 p.m.\nAfter the event\, please complete a “Dogs’ Day Out” report card to share how your dog enjoyed their adventure.
