What We Offer

Clinic Services

The low-cost program includes spaying/neutering, pain medications, microchipping, and an e-collar for each pet. Our clinic does not offer any procedures other than spaying, neutering, and simple hernia repairs during spay/neuter surgery. Pricing for spay/neuter surgery is dependent upon species, sex, and weight.

Cats

Animals must be at least 12 weeks old and have proof of a current rabies vaccination (certificate required) or must be vaccinated for rabies on the day of surgery. Pre-Surgical Bloodwork is required for cats 8 years and older (see additional fees).

Dogs

Animals must be at least 12 weeks old and have proof of a current rabies vaccination (certificate required) or must be vaccinated for rabies on the day of surgery. Pre-Surgical Bloodwork is required for dogs 6 years and older (see additional fees).

An anti-nausea injection will be given to all brachycephalic (short-nosed) dogs the morning of surgery at a cost of $20. This is required for these breeds due to their increased incidence of vomiting and regurgitation while under anesthesia.

Additional Fees & Services

Pre-surgical bloodwork of $100 is required for dogs 6 years and older and cats 8 years and older. You may opt for other additional services at the time of drop-off.
If you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the above fees, please contact SNAP of PA for potential financial assistance at 717-732-5377 or via their website.

Spay It Forward

You can help improve the quality of life of animals throughout our community.
Donations to the Spay It Forward fund offset the costs of surgeries and allow us to offer drastically reduced fees for feral cats and York County pit bulls. These services are a vital part of reducing pet overpopulation and managing community cats.

Dogs in Heat

If your dog is currently in heat or her heat cycle has ended within the past six weeks, it is strongly recommended to delay her surgery until the uterus and ovaries have returned to their normal state. Being in estrus (in heat) can put your pet at an increased risk for intraoperative and postoperative bleeding. Being in heat will also increase your pet’s time under anesthesia and increase the size of her surgical incision.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please email [email protected], and we can reschedule your pet to a later date. If you wish to proceed with the surgery despite your pet being in heat or recently being in heat, there will be an additional waiver to sign at check-in stating that you acknowledge the increased anesthetic risks involved in having the procedure, and a $25 “in heat” fee will be due at the time of pick-up.
