October is national pit bull awareness month!
All month long, we’re celebrating one of the most loyal, loving, and often misunderstood breeds—pit bulls. At the York County SPCA, pitties make up a large portion of the dogs in our care, and we know firsthand how goofy, affectionate, and resilient they truly are. Sadly, pit bulls are also among the most overlooked dogs in shelters nationwide. By adopting, fostering, or sharing their stories, you can help break the stigma and give these amazing dogs the second chances they deserve.
