Betty is a sweet girl whose past hasn’t been easy, but we refuse to let that define her future. Since arriving at the shelter, she has slowly begun to show her true personality, and staff are now greeted by a happy, playful girl who enjoys spending time with her favorite people. Betty is still learning to navigate the world with confidence. She currently struggles with walking on a leash in the shelter environment, but we are confident that with patience, decompression, and gentle guidance in a home, she will continue to make progress. Due to her history, Betty can be a flight risk when she is scared or overwhelmed, so her adopters will need to take extra precautions and move at her pace while trust is being built. Betty is looking for a patient, understanding family who will see beyond her past and give her the opportunity to blossom into the wonderful dog we know she can be.
