Cheeto came into the shelter with her mother and sister as her previous owner was unable to afford to have all of them. The owner was told mom Snickers was a male, and suddenly there were bonus guinea pigs! Cheeto is a one year old female described by her previous family as vocal for treats and food and a big fan of free play time and toys. Watch her popcorn as she explores!

Snickers was separated from her babies when they were younger due to a mixup in sexing and would need to be reintroduced to them, but there was no hostile behavior between them and pigs benefit from neighbors even if they don’t share an enclosure. Guinea pigs (particularly females) are recommended to be housed in pairs or other groups, so this would be a good opportunity to have a young family!
