Adopt Me MAYbe: Dog Adoption Event
Hey, I want to meet you, and this is crazy, so you should come to… “Adopt me MAYbe!” The York County SPCA is hosting a half-price (50% OFF) dog adoption event Sunday, May 26 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
If you're eager to bring home a furry companion, here's what you need to know:
Fill out our dog adoption questionnaire by Thursday, May 23, to speed up the process. Just head over to https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/YORK/Dog to complete the application.
Bring your whole household along—humans and canines—to meet our lovely pups! Please keep your dogs comfy in the car with the A/C on until it's time for introductions. You can take them for a walk in the grassy areas near the parking lot.
Don't forget to bring a collar and leash for your dogs! Opt for a slip-lead leash or a regular collar and leash over retractable ones if possible.
Check in at the welcome table first before browsing our available dogs in the kennel.
Make sure you have a collar and leash in case you find your new companion. We will have some for sale, but supplies are *LIMITED. *
Make a note of your top 4-5 dog picks to help our team assist you better. You can also browse our kennel if you are unsure who you would like to meet.
While most dogs will be ready to go home on the event day, some may need to be picked up later due to necessary vaccinations, spaying/neutering, or medical care.
Please note that we only accept CASHLESS payments for items like dog licenses, collars, and leashes.

**Please Note: Many of our adoptable dogs are currently in a foster home. While we will have a few foster dogs present at the shelter for the event, most will still be located in their foster homes. If you are interested in an available foster, please fill out an application for them and schedule a separate appointment with our staff to meet with them. Thank you.
